Making your decision to choose a tailor is not something which should be rushed, as hopefully you will be forging the beginning of a long lasting relationship. Obviously how we dress is very important, so if you already have a tailor or are planning to have bespoke clothes made for the first time, you should consider the following questions.

Will an individual pattern be cut for my personal requirements?
(Most tailors use a standard pattern nearest your measurements, which they simply adjust)

Will my tailor be in complete control of the making of my suit from measuring to the final delivery?
(Many tailors simply measure and send your details away for manufacture elsewhere)

Will the clothes be truly hand made?
(Hand button holes and fully canvassed etc)

Will my clothes be made by the same individual tailor each time I order?
(Many are made in a line system with up to 5 or 6 individuals making a single suit!)

Will my tailor be flexible on time and location for measuring and fitting etc?
(Most have standard shop hours and will not visit your office or home if possible)

Is my tailor able to offer the experience of making clothes at the highest level?

If you already have a tailor, and like Thomas you can answer yes to all the above, you are very fortunate as true Bespoke tailors are a rare breed. However if you are considering a change, or would like to step up to the level of Savile Row tailoring, please feel free to contact Thomas for an informal discussion regarding your tailoring requirements. Alternatively please make an appointment to meet Thomas for a no obligation consultation, where you can see samples of Thomas’s work and he will answer any questions you may have.
